The World's Unsexiest Business
adding a little sizzle to the convenience store industry
...@tferriss and #10xManagement is all over it too. to that I raise #infinityx or umm @SpaceX
And, in my opinion, the most profound excerpt from Grant Cardone's The 10X Rule?
Put that into perspective when facing your competitors and/or peers.
Consider even disregarding or expunging from your memory anything along the lines of 'pie' slicing references. Figuratively, the pie is massive and even with dividing it an infinite number of ways, another slice can be dished up.
But this is just one piece of the puzzle because I'd highly recommend reading the book! Again, no dollars coming my way for the endorsement. He pretty goes on to say that you should eschew the competition in favor of domination -- eating the other guy's slice!
When was the last time your organization found itself reacting rather emotionally because a new entrant obliterated your brand and/or business model? Do you adopt a strategic anticipation mindset or just catch things on the back-end? Time may not be on your side and fighting fires seem to have become more the rule than the exception. But time management and discipline may just be the right formula to get you back on track. It's a considerable amount of effort. The kind where you need to work both harder and smarter! All by 10x-ing it.
I'm a huge proponent of seeing is believing. So I'm thinking that in order to learn and grow through osmosis (my preferred method), this Growth Con may be a consideration to supplant the rather dry convenience store conferences.
Sure you might think I'm drinking the proverbial 'sales' Kool-Aid but most people give up before they even get started.
